From sales-led to product-led: Transforming Flatpay, Denmark’s top fintech.

What does it take to turn a fast-growing fintech into a truly product-led, customer-obsessed tech company? In this talk, Derek Fidler shares his journey of transformation rooted in the principles of Marty Cagan’s product operating model and the lessons learned along the way. He will explore the “why” behind the shift: scaling from a single office with 10 engineers and no product team, to an organization spread across 5 countries with 20+ product and UX professionals and 50+ engineers

You’ll hear how he :

  • Transformed feature teams into empowered product teams
  • Moved from shipping features to driving outcomes
  • Defined how he prioritized, built, released, and measured product work, while expanding into two new countries a year.
  • About the ups and downs of being a Product Ops team of 1.

Whether you’re leading a similar transformation or curious why your company loves to do re-organisation, his talk will offer practical insights, cautionary tales, and a healthy dose of honesty about what it really takes to turn a company into one that’s truly product-led.
