Your brand stands for quality. Ease of use. Innovation. Elegance. Speed. But sometimes, despite best intentions, product teams forget what this means for them. They get caught up in delivery, and their tunnel vision leads to a neglect of following guidelines or industry standards.
Consider an expert review to help product teams gain momentum, decide on a focus, pitch product improvements to stakeholders, or assess your product's compliance and usability. This is a thorough yet relatively quick and cheap way to have (a part of) your product(s) evaluated.
We offer five types of expert reviews. Together with you, we decide what product or service will be evaluated, what type of review is most relevant, and which topics or heuristics we will base our review on.
We evaluate your product or service for compliance with accessibility standards such as the WCAG, ensuring inclusivity for users with impairments.
While performing the main user tasks, we check the product on topics like usability, accessibility, consistency, attractiveness and brand experience, in order to identify pain points of the product.
We check the product against a fixed set of heuristics or design principles in order to identify the most important hurdles of your product. This approach is more structured but also less flexible than a usability review.
We evaluate your product against competitors’ products to provide a comprehensive, well-founded comparison.
We research the logic of your users, we review the information you need to present to them in your product, and evaluate your current information architecture.
Regardless of the type of review you choose, our UX experts deliver a detailed overview of bottlenecks and highlights, a conclusion on overall quality, and an actionable plan for improvement. We present the results of the review to your stakeholders for maximum impact.
If you’re struggling to find best practices for your digital product’s usability, accessibility, functionality, design and performance, consider starting with a proven fixed set of heuristics or design principles such as the 10 Usability Heuristics for User Interface Design or the UX honeycomb.
Leave your details and we'll schedule a (remote) consultation to discuss scope and approach, so that we can send you a custom quote.
We are all blind to our own flaws. That's why we asked Hike One – as an experienced external party – to challenge us.
